Objective:  I will create a virtual molecule to have a better understanding of the connection between atoms and molecules.  

Purpose:  All matter in the universe is made up of atoms, and atoms combine chemically to make molecules.

Overview:  We've spend a few weeks talking about atoms and molecules.  Briefly looked at the periodic table and highlighted atomic number, chemical name, chemical symbol, atomic mass number.  Today you will learn the information provided by periods and groups.  Take notes on this!

Using the periodic table, identify how many protons, neutrons, and electrons the following atoms have H, Be, N, O, F, He, then diagram a Bohr-Rutheford model and Lewis dot model.

If you don't finish in class, then finish for homework.
